Temporary Dentists

 

We would like to take a moment to say a great big thank you to all of the wonderful dentists who are supporting the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program during our transitional time period. The Tooth Truck is utilizing the help of local dentists to staff the Tooth Truck until a full-time dentist is in place. These individuals answered the plea to work a day or more on the Tooth Truck in order to ensure that children in the community continue receiving quality dental attention. We have had the pleasure of working with the following local dentists:

Office Manager and Dental Assistant

Davina Easter assumed the position of Office Manager and Dental Assistant on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile on September 8, 2008. In this role, she works closely with the Springfield school nurses in prioritizing and scheduling patients for treatment, coordinates our volunteers, maintains patient records using our dental software and files for reimbursement from Medicaid. She will also ensure that each patient has a positive and educational dental visit when she serves as a Dental Assistant. Davina has experience working in many different areas of the dental field and has a particular passion for working with children. She is excited to be a part of the Tooth Truck so she can teach children the benefits of proper dental care and help create healthy smiles.

Dental Assistant

Laura Polocoser joined the Tooth Truck staff in February of 2006 as a Dental Assistant. Laura received her dental assisting certificate in 2000 in Vancouver, Washington. She brings 8 years of experience to the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Laura’s passion is working with children as is evidenced by her attitude and demeanor with the kids on the Tooth Truck. She says this position is a perfect fit for her – kids and dental assisting - the two things she loves. Laura says that working on the Tooth Truck has been a very rewarding experience. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Ruben, and two daughtersl, Kayla & Sara.

 

Dental Assistant

The Tooth Truck staff welcomed Dental Assistant Megan Lambert in May 2009. Megan first began working on the Tooth Truck as a Dental Assisting Student completing her final rotation in a dental office. She graduated from OTC as a Certified Dental Assistant in May and is excited to continue working with the Tooth Truck staff and patients. She clearly has a passion for children and enjoys educating them on proper brushing habits. The Tooth Truck has already grown on her; she says it gets roomier every day!
