Living their brand purpose by supporting Ronald McDonald House
After more than 40 years of partnership with Ronald McDonald House, Tyson Foods continues to “raise expectations for how much good food can do” through their legacy support of Ronald McDonald House Chapters globally. Throughout 2022, Tyson Foods and their employees supported Ronald McDonald House Chapters across the globe through various activities, including cash and in-kind donations and volunteer initiatives.
Most notably, Tyson’s support of Chapters in Asia raised tens of thousands in support of Ronald McDonald House Thailand and Malaysia, allowing these Chapters to serve even more children and their families and ensuring access to vital care and resources. Tyson’s contributions are invaluable to these Chapters as they grow and adapt to better serve their communities. Both Ronald McDonald House Thailand and Ronald McDonald House Malaysia are preparing to open new Ronald McDonald House programs. The Chapters currently serve a combined 339,000 families, but these additional programs will enable them to serve even more families who need to travel far from home for their children’s medical care— thanks in part to partners like Tyson.

Additionally, in the United States, Tyson and their employees demonstrated their dedication to local Ronald McDonald House Chapters through volunteering their time, supporting events through sponsorships, and providing product donations. Tyson provided families at several Ronald McDonald House programs with 24/7 access to refrigerated and frozen meals, helping to contribute to the $504 million in food and lodging costs that Ronald McDonald House saves families each year.

According to Senior Manager Marketing and Customer Development, Barbara Rook, “Tyson encourages a collaborative approach to engaging with local Ronald McDonald House Chapters and we are intentional in our engagement— whether it’s opportunities provided through the McDonald’s Business Unit or through that are touched by the local mission and/or have personal histories/connections that they independently align with Ronald McDonald House.”
